PRESCRIPTION REQUESTS:  Please note that it takes 2 working days to order repeat medication due to the number of requests we receive. We cannot take orders over the telephone for safety. The easiest way for you to order your medication is online or by asking your pharmacist to do it for you.

Repeat Prescriptions

pills3Patients who are on repeat medication can order their monthly prescription in the following ways:

  1. On line via our website.
  2. By calling in to the surgery and dropping the repeat slip off for collection in 48 hours (there is a box in reception).
  3. By discussing with your Pharmacy of choice who will order on your behalf.

You may call into the surgery for any prescription queries to speak to the prescription clerk between 08.30hrs and 16.30 hrs.

Any patient receiving repeat medication will need to be reviewed by the doctor or nurse at least once a year. Without this review we cannot continue to issue your prescription.

We always have prescriptions ready for collection after two working days. If, however, you have your prescription collected by a chemist, you may need to liaise with the pharmacist to see if any additional time is required on their behalf.

Any repeat prescription requests are dealt with by the Surgery within 48 hours but please allow for weekends and bank holidays. If your prescription goes direct to a chemist of your choice remember to allow an additional day for the chemist to collect and dispense your prescription.

EPS:  Electronic Prescribing.  Instead of a paper repeat prescription you can sign up at a Pharmacy and your prescription will go direct to the electronically.  YOU CONTINUE TO ORDER AS ABOVE.
